Minbari Kalan'tha (unarmed) This Minbari art is a school of thought based on structure and form, and is used in unarmed combat. It teaches that a balance in life is achieved by the blending of all aspects of the person as a whole. It also respects the rights of others to achieve their own ballance.
Pike Fighting (armed) This Minbari art uses a Pike, and can only be used with armed combat actions. It is a ritual form used in both duels and street fighting, and teaches respect for the structure of life, but acknowledges that force is an effective way to maintain that structure.
Centauri Tronno (unarmed) This Centauri unarmed combat form is an ancient art developed during the expansion of the Republic. It instills a respect of tradition into its pupils, that all who came before contributed to what they are, and that their responsibility is to the Republic rather than to self
Coutari (armed) This Centauri bladed-weapon art is a ritualistic form, taught and executed in honor duels as much as in real life-and-death situations. It may be used only in armed combat. It places high value on form and honor, shunning those who do not act with honor.
Narn Then'sha'tur (unarmed) This Narn art is used in unarmed combat and uses the strength and toughness of Narns to maximum advantage. It was born during the Occupation from a blend of other Narn arts, and teaches that personal freedom is paramount. The ability to defend onself is the best way to keep personal freedom
Katak'eth (armed) This Narn art dates from before the Occupation, and values the inner peace of the individual. It concentrates on the sword, and is used with armed combat actions. It teaches the pupil to value life and use combat as a last resort only, when there is no other option. Once a blade has been drawn, it can only be because there was no alternative than to draw blood.
