PPG's have three settings: a standard setting that is good against 'soft' targets but does not penetrate hard surfaces like metal walls well (reduced penetration); a stun setting which does little physical damage but effects the nervous system (AVLD vs. resistant defenses); and a maximum setting that will effect hard surfaces, and can eventually burn through them (normal RKA, uses more ammo).
