HERO Games is one of the best RPG systems out there, and I've been a fan for 20+ years.

I've also been a Star Trek fan since I could crawl, which is some 40 years ago. I ran my first Trek HERO campaigns in my college days in the early 1980's -- one was a Star Fleet campaign and one was a Merchant campaign. When Steve Long rescued HERO Games and HERO 5th edition and Star HERO came out, I decided to update, create, and share this labor of love with my fellow HERO and Trek fans.

And now Arooo (Tony) has given it a home here, so please enjoy! If you have any questions or comments, you can post them to the here on the Star Hero Fandom forum or on the Hero Games forum. Or, if you want to email me, contact me through the forum emails. (I don't want to give spambots a fighting chance.)

Star Trek(tm) for HERO 5th Edition

  • FASA Trek. Newer version of the TrekHero pdf, based on the FASA Trek universe. (updated July-04-2004, 2.6MB)
  • TNG Hero. Star Trek: TNG and Star Trek:DS9 adapted to Hero 5th edition. (8.0M, 250 pages, updated Dec-06-2004).

For those having trouble downloading the full TNGHero pdf, here it is in 5 parts, with a slightly reduced picture quality. Each file approximately 1 Meg. (Updated Oct-09-2004)

I have created a TrekHero hdt file (Hero Designer v2) for those who want to use HD in creating Star Trek characters.

TrekHero.hdt

This file includes expanded Computer Programming, Conversation, Persuasion, Forgery, Tactics, and other skills; Fringe Benefits (Starship Military Rank and Starship Commerce Rank); Decipher(tm) abilities and edges converted to Talents; and I have added the Vulcan Nerve Pinch as a Talent, costing 19 points. Note: you have to go into Hero Designer preferences and allow "Trek Hero".

(July-24-2004) I have a few prefabs ready, but the work is slow.

(Oct-11-2004) Ehrin "Drakkenkin" Affolter from the HERO Games and Star HERO boards has volunteered to work on producing prefabs for Trek Hero, as time permits. So let Drakkenkin know how much you appreciate the work!
